I am contemplating on if I should do my homework now, or not.

At the night, I and Kevin were talking about each other's homework. I was tired, so I wanted to go to sleep. However, I had to consider whether I can wake up in the early morning, or not. When I was pondering the correct expression about the situation, Kevin, my roommate, helped me. The sentence was 'I am contemplating on if I should do my homework now, or not.' And I searched the other synonyms such as ponder, reflect, and deliberate about contemplate.

Another way you could say that is - "I am trying to decide if I should do my homework now, or not."

fyi - Instead of "at the night", you should say "at night" or "last night".

Thanks for adding useful expressions!
